Wow, it's been a while! Between being in Denmark for 4 months, coming home, moving to Kansas City and starting my internship, I feel like I've been MIA for far too long. But since my last journal, I have gone from not being "in Kansas anymore" to actually being in Kansas! Thus the picture of Dorothy! ^__^
But despite all the changes, things are going really well. When I got home from Denmark, I had a wonderful reunion with my family, boyfriend, and friends. As much as I loved Europe, I really missed this country and everything in it! Mmmm... American food....
I spent a nice two weeks at home, then made the 8 and a half hour hour trek to Kansas City 3 weeks ago. My boyfriend (who had started his internship a week before my arrival) and I moved into our little apartment. It's really all we need though, and we've actually gotten it to feel pretty homey, despite the fact that our side of town is basically a ghost town... And my summer internship is going fine - it's at a small software company in Overland Park, Kansas (I cross the MO/KS border to go to work, lol). It's more sales-oriented and low-paying than I would have liked, but I'm still gaining good experience and getting by. I really like the people though - we play frisbee every day during lunch (even in the 95 degree heat... oy), and I joined the company beach volleyball team - the Dainty Wrists!
Anyway, I hope you all are doing well! I have more time on my hands now, so I renewed my sub and I'll definitely be more involved here. AND I have some art in the works, both Sonic-related as well as something completely new from me!
All I can say is welcome to the Midwest! You're living about 1.5-2 hrs from me and I go to KC for BBQ every now and then. Oh yes, I love their BBQ! Oh, Worlds of Fun is pretty nice too. Beware of the tornadoes, which occur at a rate of a few per week if we're lucky XD
I hope both your internships go well. What will you be doing exactly?

Someday you'll understand the reason behind there confusing days. For now, please smile...
I actually did get some inspiration in Denmark! The country is pretty well known for its design aesthetic (it's the origin of the egg chair and artichoke lamp! XD), so I really did have a lot of creative influences around me. Unfortunately, I didn't really have any means for creative outlets, so I had to bottle it up till I came home.
I'm from Indiana, so KC is nice in that it's still familiarly midwestern! The BBQ here definitely is amazing - so far I've had ribs at Jack Stacks and Oklahoma Joe's... omg delicious. And I'm hoping to get to Worlds of Fun sometime this summer! How long have you lived in this region?
The BF is doing a software engineering internship at a big medical firm, and I'm working on launching a new video software program at my small company. Basically I'm trying to get resellers onboard and doing some viral marketing online. What are you doing this summer?

But theres no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
