Well, the deadline of my contest came and went, and I've only gotten one entry (*
KaylaTheBat, you rock!!!). No big deal, because I knew I'd probably end up extending the deadline anyway. But I'm starting to think that my contest idea was a flop, and I made it too detailed... Like instead of having people anthro my irl boyfriend, I should have let them just design any guy for Kya (more like *
bringonthethunder's contest...) So now I'm thinking of changing the contest a bit, and I'd like some feedback.
First of all, is anyone still planning on entering? Second, should I change the prize at all? And finally, what should I do about the contest:
-Keep the rules the same
-Make the rules more flexible
-Cancel it and make *
KaylaTheBat the default winner
Here's my current contest journal:

I'd personally keep the rules as they are, but as for the prize *this is just my personal opinion here* I think an actual drawing from you for the winner is much more appealing than money (a sub). For me it would be, anyway.

I definitely see what you mean, but since I do art so infrequently now, I know it would take me a long while to draw the winner's prize. It's not fair to them, and I don't really like that guilty IOU feeling. So I offered a sub, hoping that a lot of sub-less people would jump at it. I guess I misjudged people's motivations.
Thanks for the feedback!

But theres no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
If you decide to extend the deadline, I definately would stick to the current rules. Makes it more interesting, and it was a good idea to start with. Ya' shouldn't have to settle for any random anthro dude since Kya is your own fursona. It'd be kinda akward really, asking somebody to draw you a bf
For the same reason you don't wanna promise a drawing to the winner (at this rate, Miz *KaylaTheBat
But... I wanna!

Oddly, it's like the fall/winter/early spring is the best time of year for contests to happen, as everybody is pretty much back to the 'grid' of routine and stuff.
Does that make any sense? ^^
(Bonus stuff...apologies if it's off-topic. <
Oh...I bought my first Sonic comic book in 8 years on July 29, 2008, and I found [link] <-- that after a 6 1/2 year internet search the other day. (I know it's baseball related, but it just sounds so gooooood...

Which comic book did you buy? Are you in the market for more...?

And no pressure of course, but I would be honored if you entered.

And the reason why I like that Major League Baseball on CBS 1990-1993 theme song so much is because it played to intro the broadcasts of the 2 World Series that the Toronto Blue Jays were in in 1992 and 1993.
Both the Atlanta Braves failed Game 6 11th-inning Otis Nixon bunt back to the Jays 1st baseman to win it for Toronto in 1992 and Joe Carter's dramatic Game 6 come-from-behind bottom of the 9th walk-off home run to left field to win the 1993 World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies were aired on the 'Eye Network'(and simulcast on SatAM's Canadian TV home, CTV).
And those 2 games ended at 12:51AM EDT(1:51AM ADT) for 1992's Game 6, on Sunday, Oct. 25, 1992, and 11:37PM EDT(12:37AM ADT the next morning in the ADT zone) for 1993's Game 6, on Saturday, Oct. 23, 1993.
