"Or, How Pixar Made Me Fall in Love with a Robot and Stop Worrying."

I just got back from seeing Wall-E.... I knew it was going to be amazing - well duh, every Pixar movie is amazing. But... But I... I'm stunned! It was an incredible film!

Interestingly, there's very little dialogue - mostly really cute robots making cute robot sounds - and Pixar tried a few new things, like incorporating a little live action footage. But as all the past films, it has an ingeniously clever and genuinely warm plot. I was entertained every single second.

You'll feel such compassion for the characters that, like me, you might just cry a bit at the end... I couldn't help it, okay?! It was just such a darn cute movie!

And I think it could be in the running for Best Picture of the Year.

And I really want a Wall-E or EVE toy now. ^_^

I can agree entirely to that! :XD:

Saw it myself a few hours ago. Was great! I was expecting the lack of most dialogue from the start anyway, but I knew it's be perfect as is, and cleverly done too! ^_^

Pixar, you've done it again!!

So I guess it wasn't just a mere love story? :phew:

I'm guessing that a DVD purchase of the film will be in the offing for you in a few months, huh? :X-):

Wall-E is released on the 18th July over here (according to imdb anyway). I guess I should make a note to go and see it? Sounds interesting! :]

I just locked an open door... strange, yet symbolically compelling.

My kids are dying to see this one. Glad to hear I might enjoy it too.

So it's not a love story right?

Shadow has more fan girls than any other SEGA character. If your 1 of them, copy and paste this into your signature. Yay for Shadow!

Sally Acorn= FAIL.

Everytime you call Shadow an emo, he kills a kitten: think of the kittens! :ohnoes:

Also it's not like one of those cheesy Disney movies that were just thrown out of now where right? I hate Disney... I'm sorry to say that but I do...

Well, to me, Pixar and Disney are almost completely separate. Disney hasn't managed to make a classic movie since the mid 90s, while Pixar cranks out an amazing film every summer, and I always look forward to them because their movies are quality. Unlike CG Disney and Dreamworks films, Pixar movies have depth, character, originality and heart.

So what was the last Pixar movie you saw? ;-) I guess I'm asking you to not assume that you hate Pixar because you hate Disney. WALL-E was cute but not cheesy, and fun but not silly.

I didn't mean to rant at you or anything. I'm just a huge Pixar fangirl. ^^;

But there’s no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
